The Story So Far...
The Beginning
Forever a maker and creative, I found pottery and painting to be the perfect therapeutic pastime after suffering a traumatic head injury.
The pots soon became vessels for candles, which I decided to make bespoke for each of my lovely friends, drawing inspiration from their heritage, hobbies, and ailments.
It turns out that everyone loved them and I immediately had friends asking to buy them from me and from that Burning Bright was born.
The Tyger
Named after the wonderful William Blake poem, The Tyger, in Spring 2024, I left my job as an Architect after 10 years and began working full-time on Burning Bright. My mission is to bring beautiful, thoughtful, natural candles to everyone. With reusable pinch pots and hand-pressed flowers, they offer a unique touch of natural luxury for all and hopefully inspire others to be creative.
The Sum of Parts
Burning Bright really is a little bit of me out there in the world.
From my student days working at Lush (which I still use and adore) to my training as an Architect, to my absolute love of vintage and craft, Burning Bright is the culmination of all those parts.
Burning Bright will always remain absolutely pure to its roots of 100% natural ingredients, sustainable, thoughtful and beautiful. In time I hope to expand my offering, to curated vintage and other natural products, the ideas are already brewing!
