The Scent & Mood: Inspired by the Winter Solstice, when the Holly King surrenders to the Oak King in ancient pagan tradition and trees were cut down with golden scythes, a blessed symbol of life surviving through the long, dark winter. A Yule log, adorned with holly and pinecones, is burned, with its ashes believed to hold medicinal and magical powers. Black spruce, sage, rosemary, frankincense and juniper blend to create a detoxifying, earthy aroma—perfect for the Winter Solstice. Used to purify your home, burning sage sticks helps rid you of negative energy, preparing you for the new year.
